Up coming events

Harry Westera July 19

'Focus on water'

Harry will provide a variety of landscape images which we can work from: coastal views, river scenes, reflections etc.

We will do several artworks throughout the day. He will demonstrate from a photo and/or previous watercolours of his own, explaining as he goes. Then Harry will help attendees  do their version of the work, giving individual attention.

Harry will be demonstrating in watercolour but can be of assistance in oils or other mediums

Materials;

Basic primary colours: red, blue and yellow are enough. Raw Sienna and a darker brown (eg burnt siena or burnt umber) would be useful. Important to use artist quality paints. Two or three medium brushes. Harry uses rounds. Any artist quality paper eg Arches rough, Saunders, Baohong etc

Artists might like to bring their own ipad so as to work from brighter images of the demonstration painting on the day.
